On Sunday May 3, 2015, from 2:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m, Lumacare hosted an event titled Mums2B in collaboration with the New Mom Project. The event took place at Lumacare’s program space at 497 Wilson Avenue and the event was a blast for everyone who came out to celebrate.
Mom’s alike shopped our interactive market place with vendors including Arbonne, It Works!, Pampered Chef, Thirty-One Gifts, and Tupperwear. Each vendor graciously donated a basket for our silent auctionwith donations going directly to The New Mom Project. Additional to this monetary donation, Lumacare was able to donate new and gently used items that will go directly to expectant and new mothers in need.
The children, not to be left out were treated to painting, coloring and other activities that kept them entertained for the afternoon. Light refreshments were provided and a rose was presented to each attendee on behalf of Mothers’ Day which is quickly approaching on Sunday, May 10, 2015.
Lumacare would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who came out to enjoy the event and graciously donated new and gently used toys, clothing, and baby items to help support The New Mom Project. Thank you to our vendors who contributed so ably to this event and helped make the event the success it was which allows us to make a difference in the community we serve.
