Lumacare's Sensory Lending Library

Older Adult Sensory Lending Library

If you are in need of sensory equipment for yourself or a loved one, Lumacare is running a sensory lending library service to older adults in the North York area. Sign out specialized equipment free of charge on a weekly basis!

HOPEWELL Adult Day Program

This program is a community step down program for individuals who have completed an outpatient mental health hospital program, or who reside in the community and wish for additional support in a group environment. This program serves individuals 55+ living with a diagnosis of depression, generalized anxiety or depressed-state bipolar disorder.

Valleyview Adult Day Program

The Valleyview Adult Day Program is a unique program split 5 days a week. It is designed to serve individuals living with Dementia 3 days a week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday), and individuals with mobility difficulties or who are frail 2 days a week (Tuesday and Thursday).

Bathurst-Finch Network


The Bathurst-Finch Network (BFN) is a group of community workers and residents in the Bathurst-Finch neighbourhood that work together to organize community events, develop neighbourhood-specific programming and advocate for change.

SUNSET Adult Day Program


The SUNSET Overnight Adult Day Program provides short and long term overnight and day stays for seniors who require 24-hour care. The program offers a safe and cozy atmosphere with support provided by trained Personal Support Workers.

Assisted Living Services


Our Assisted Living Services program provides 24/7 in-home support to high risk seniors living within the community. Our hub site is located at 2195 Jane Street. We support the seniors residing in these buildings and the surrounding areas within a five kilometer radius.

B.O.O.S.T. Adult Day Program

B.O.O.S.T. is an Adult Day Program for individuals living with stroke, another neurological issue, or who are frail. Holistic therapeutic recreation programming is provided to meet Clients’ physical, cognitive, social and emotional needs.

G.L.O.W. Adult Day Program

G.L.O.W. is an Adult Day Program for individuals living with Alzheimer’s Disease or related dementia. Holistic therapeutic recreation programming is provided to meet Clients’ physical, cognitive, social and emotional needs.

Healthier Living Centre


The HLC is for older adults 55+ who want to be physically active and fit; meet new friends, participate in health workshops and attend outings and events.

Home Support


Our friendly Personal Support Workers can help you with chores around the home to help ensure your independence while also providing relief for family and caregivers. Short term overnight stays are available.

At Lumacare, Transportation Services provides easy and affordable driving services, including: medical appointments, social gatherings, shopping, and Adult Day Program visits.

Meals on Wheels


Our friendly volunteers and staff deliver regular frozen meals once a week consisting of soup, an entrée and dessert.

R.I.S.E. Adult Day Program

R.I.S.E. Adult Day Program serves individuals living in the community who wish to participate in social programming and connect with peers, and require additional support throughout the day. This program offers assistance to moderately frail seniors or those living with mild cognitive impairment while providing beneficial recreational programming and structured social engagement.
