Today, December 1, 2018, marks the 30th World AIDS Day.  The first World AIDS Day was held in 1988 after health ministers from around the world met in London, England and agreed to such a day as a way of highlighting the enormity of the AIDS pandemic and nations’ responsibility to ensure universal treatment, care and support for people living with HIV and AIDS.

Recognizing that many of the young men and women affected by AIDS in the 80’s are now seniors, Lumacare wishes to lend our ongoing support to those impacted by the trauma and stigma they faced for many years and may still continue to this day.

Please join us in eradicating the barriers our older adults living with AIDS may face in receiving accessible and equitable healthcare throughout their lifetime.
