Lumacare is thrilled to announce that we have been awarded a generous grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF) to establish a senior’s resources hub to support those affected by financial frauds and/or scams.
We’d like to thank OTF for funding our new hub which will be dedicated to supporting seniors impacted by scams and fraud through case management, workshops, and financial and legal counseling.
We are offering fraud and scam workshops in March, April, and May where you can learn about scam awareness & common scams, recognizing and avoiding phone scams, essential online banking safety tips, how to protect yourself online & from social media scams, what to do if you fall for a scam and how to report a scam.
